WHY DOES LEADERSHIP EXIST IN BUSINESS & THE COMMUNITY?

It  exists because of the many actions that people take in order to see a change, an improvement for the reason of attaining goals. It exists because people have visions they want to bring forth through the many relationships they find themselves in for example wife- husband relationship, class –student relationship, person- group relationship such as Prime Minister Howard with his government. (W. Bennis & T Cummings 2001) Leadership seems to provide the direction and guidance to get from one point to another. Leadership is important to busness and the community because it provides direction to the community. "Leadership seeks to find solutions to conflicts and problems" says the lecturer in one of the interviews. It is important to business because it plans and puts in to place the processes and procedures to follow. It brings developments to the community and provides guidance to the community in a proper way. This means that it’s an important part of everyone’s life regardless of the position or Status they have in life. As long as people will exist they must be others who should be  there to inspire others in order to bring about some sort of movement from one position to another whether it be for positive reasons or not. There should be people who are able to influence others, guide others to achieve goals that are really needed. 

 

ARE LEADERS BORN OR DEVELOPED

Some say leaders are born which is true while others say that leaders are made which is true as well, either way it works out.

 

HOW CAN ONE PREPARE FOR A LEADERSHIP POSITION

A person can prepare for leadership position through training and on going development on leadership skills while others are born into leadership position like Prince Charles of England.
